There could be different types of password - user password and owner password. To accept the password do not forget to enable the radio button near the needed one.

User password. It is a regular password of the PDF document. By default it allows all action except altering document security. You can further restrict user-level access by enabling different 'Do not allow user to' options.

Owner password. It is the master password of the PDF document. It allows full access to the document: reading, editing, printing and changing security settings.

To load settings you saved before click Load settings from file button.

To save current settings click Save settings to file button.

As soon as you customized the settings you wanted click Apply to make your new settings be applied.
